APPROACH is a prestigious international project supported by the European Union's Horizon Europe programme. Its aim is to enhance post-academic training and career development opportunities for young researchers in the development of nanofabricated materials and methods for solar energy harvesting. It involves top research institutes across Europe (universities from Finland, Belgium, Greece, Ukraine and the Czech Republic). Linking the research environment with the business sector is an integral part of the project. Through networking activities within the project, companies are involved and mutual exchange of knowledge of applied research of young research talents on the one hand and the needs and practical experience of companies on the other hand.
The District Chamber of Commerce Olomouc is a partner of the project and applies its long-standing experience in providing these networking activities, e.g. by organizing workshops for company involvement, Business-to-Business (B2B) conferences for various industry representatives and open days for industry to link SME entrepreneurship with the project's research activities. It is also involved in the implementation of internships for young research talent in companies to promote the search for synergies, new collaborations and potential business agreements between the two parties.
